My wife's Father's Day gift to me this year was to help me cross something off my bucket list: Stand-up comedy.The gift was an enrollment in Brad Trackman's Philadelphia Comedy Academy, a seminar series that meets for three Sunday mornings and culminates in a special showcase this Saturday afternoon at 3:30.
I've always wanted to try stand-up. I've always wanted to see if I could write a decent monologue and deliver it onstage. I guess I'm gonna find out this weekend, for better or for worse.

My advice? Come for the showcase Saturday afternoon, and then stick around to see Greg Fitzsimmons that night. If you're a fan of the Howard Stern radio show, you're familiar with Greg's sharp comedy.
