Courting Disaster: Sept. 3, 2010

Friday, September 03, 2010 - 12:00 AM

Courting Disaster, my weekly comic about sex, love, and relationships updates every Friday. You'll laugh your pants off.

This week's question...

A reader writes... Q: I caught my 50-year-old husband leering at the twenty-something girl next door. He has a daughter about the same age, and the whole thing makes me sick. What should I do?

Don't answer here... go on over to the CD site and offer some advice.

Just because you're on a diet, doesn't mean you can't read the menu.

Why don't you go to the local high school's track meet some time?

"Leering" is not descriptive enough.

Obviously he's "noticing" the girl but is he going out of his way to look at her or just enjoying the view when it presents itself?

There's a big difference between turning one's head when she walks by and setting up a telescope pointed that the girl's bedroom window, OK?

And a whole spectrum between.

Guys ARE going to look. Sorry, it's built into our testosterone-soaked brains too deeply to ever completely banish. By rights, you should be looking too.

Question: Trouble in Paradise? Words left unsaid? Distance growing up between you two?

Deal with that.

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
