I was thinking that the gun might supercharge him as someone else suggested, but for anyone worrying about Cap being powerless for long, here's something to remember.

He never did use that wish from the "Contest of Champions" way back.

I thought he did use his wish..."I wished that anything that happens to my family, happens to yours."

Nope--that was a bluff. (He and Miss Match discussed the possibility that Atom might figure that out after she got fired, but then Mrs. A. went out and got a "pink slip"--colloquiallism for getting fired--so it's all good for now.)

However, what we don't know if the offer of the wish is still valid--I got the impression (though it wasn't stated explicitly) that if Heroic didn't use the wish during the time immediately after he won it, the offer would expire.

OR ... and I realize I'm stretching credibility here ... what if the effects are permanent but instead temporary? Y'know, opposites and all.

Stretching credibility? Seriously? In a comic about supers?

Are you able to actually say that with a straight face?

Evil Inc. is like Marvel & DC in one respect, anything is possible. Anything.

As for the temp effect, if it truly is opposite, then Cap will actually turn out to be supercharged.

You are correct Sir! I had to go back and re-read it. Don't know how I didn't remember that.

This should make for an interesting story line for a bit now. And while I agree that in most superhero comic books power loss like this is usually temporary, we must remeber this is a strip devoted to the villian side of things. Who knows what direction this powerloss will take? Well hopefully Brad knows ;)
