Evan Windsor of Jimmy and the Hammer took me to task for yesterday's "Five to PASS / One to PULL" column, insisting that, if I had a little broader view, I could have found five solid picks. Here they are. Buffy the Vampire Slayer : Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the best shows on TV, and the comic series is as good, if not better than the show. And after the revelations in last issue make this a must pull. I've been looking forward to this for years. Invincible Returns : Robert Kirkman's Invincible has been one of the most consistently entertaining comics of theĀ recent past. This standalone issue promises to be a great jumping on point for new readers, as well as keeping it interesting for longtimers. I'm not sure if they'll be able to pull that off, but Kirkman has yet to let me down. Mass Effect : As a fan of both the Mass Effect video games, I may be a bit biased. But I feel this comic would be entertaining to those who have never even heard of the game. Phillip K. Dick's Electric Ant : David Mack's Kabuki is amazing. Anything he does is a must pull. Uncanny X-Men : Second Coming is starting up, and it seems to be the culmination of all the storylines of the past couple years, both good and bad. It could still go either way, but I'm sticking with this story until the end. Honorable mention: New Avengers: Luke Cage, S.H.E.I.L.D. Says Evan, "Well there you have it. It's not the best week for comics, but there's still a pretty solid 5." What do you think? Would you like to share this post?
