VQ Rating: Sinestro (7 comments)
VQ Rating: Sinestro
Tuesday, March 02, 2010 - 12:35 AM

In the (little, black) hearts of us here at Evil Inc, Sinestro has always been the Greatest Green Lantern. But now he's even better. He's the White freaking Lantern.
In Blackest Night #7 Nekron kills a Guardian and uses its blood to create a symbol that summons a large white figure from inside the Earth. According to Ganthet, this is the Entity, and it embodies all the life force of the universe.
Ready for a DCU game-changer? Turns out that Earth is where life first began -- not Oa. This was something the Guardians kept a secret to keep Earth safe. And it's why there were no Earthling Green Lanterns until Abin Sur crashed his spaceship and bequeathed his ring to Hal Jordan.
Hal realizes that the white energy being radiated by the Entity can stop the Black Lanterns, but someone needs to meld with it the same way he had just melded with Parallax. But he's beaten to the punch.
By the Greatest. Sinestro.

Sinesto moves to the top position in villainy with a VQ of 10. White is the new black.

Umm... did I miss something? I thought the first Earthling Green Lantern was Chinese. Or did they retcon that?

I thought you waited a week before revealing spoilers. Ruined the last comic on my pile.

I'm sorry to hear that, Remelox, but I think we need to define terms here. A spoiler is information about a comic that hasn't been released yet.
"Blackest Night" #7 came out Feb. 24.
Today is March 2.
This is not a spoiler.

Yup, that definitely rates a 10 on the "oh-$#!+"-o-meter.

At the risk of sounding like "atojiso", about a year ago I made a prediction about the end of BN that came half-true. Since Hal had been the one exposed to every color of the spectrum at some point and managed to master it, I figured he was the one being set up to put them all together into White.
Sinestro--didn't see that coming at all. Good one, Johns.

I think people use spoiler two different ways. I'm not going to argue semantics on it because I certainly see the validity of your interpretation.
My point was more that I thought you used a week. I'm sure it was just my misunderstanding and if this is not your policy, my simple solution is to wait until I have finished my comics to read your feed. Nice big batch of goodness at once, that way.
By the way, this happened once before when only the "big" stores received comics. I inched my way down the feed until I saw the header for the post on one of the two comics and then held off for a couple days.
