Just wanted to share something.

Hey Brad:
I am the guy who works at a metro area newspaper called Newsday.
It was nice talking to you at the convention.
I was surprise to hear that you were still working at the your newspaper, and I definitely understood your reasons for still working their.
Some podcasts back I remember you and guys talking about inking and coloring. You had mentioned that some folks were working with Adobe Illustrator to do their finished work. I'm one of those folks.
Though I still draw on Bristol board, I prefer to do my inking and coloring in Illustrator because my file sizes are small and the end results are resolution independent.
The link below will take you to my current work. I have no projects yet, my love for comic-book illustration is a love and hobby at the moment.
Please let me know what you think.
I am definitely looking forward to the next webcomicsweekly podcast.

All the best, thanks in advance,

I'm not an illustrator (but I play one on TV), so you can take what you can from my critique. The coloring looks very slick--almost too slick. It kind of reminds me of some of the small print indie comics I see rather than a Marvel or a DC and I don't know why. About the only thing I can point to that is niggling is that you have a lot of shadows that gradually fade out instead a crisp edge. That might be what I'm calling the "indie look." Like the chrome effect though. Can't remember the big illustrator that covered it in the "Draw Comics The Marvel Way" but it fits his "Do a little, but don't overdo it."

Good luck with your work and the comic. Your style is certainly on a par with and perhaps better than what is found in a number of independent titles. In fact, it is close to what some of the Big Two are spotlighting in their lesser titles. You seem to go between a manga style to one that reminds me of early Rob Liefeld.

This is not meant as a slight, in fact at this point you should not have a problem getting work. A few more years and finding your own style should move you up to level where some of the current 'hot names' began to attract notice.

Camino,

Firstly, nice looking work. Your gunfight scene looks particularly good. The one thing that stood out to me (not sure if it was meant to or not) was the white space around the lead in the Bonnie images. Just seemed a bit out of place. Otherwise I like it.
