Heroes for Heroes Project in Glassboro, NJ 08/01/2
posted Friday, July 24, 2009 - 06:26 PM (#48631)

If any of you are in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area next weekend, you might want to drop by this event and help us out:

Heroes For Heroes Project at The Comic Book Store
Glassboro, NJ August 1st, 2009

Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion's Northeast Remnant, Kamino Squad, will be visiting The Comic Book Store on Saturday, August 1st from noon-5pm. Local comics artists Xavier Baskette, Jerald Johnson, Elisa Lau, Tysheia E. Stevenson, and Sean Tate of Philadelphia-based Ground Up Studios and Mike Mongello, creator of Jungle Women Vs. Dracula, will be there signing and sketching original artwork, with all proceeds used to buy and ship comics and graphic novels to our troops overseas as part of the Heroes For Heroes Project. Spend time with local comic book pros and your favorite Star Wars characters, ask questions, get autographs, and see one-of-a-kind original comics artwork created right before your eyes! Make sure to bring your camera and feel free to come in costume too! Most importantly, help us send a gift of thanks to America’s men and women in uniform this coming holiday season.

As a further incentive, The Comic Book Store will be holding a special sale during the event, where you can purchase new comics to donate to the troops at 30% off regular price.

Event location:
The Comic Book Store
30 North Main St
Glassboro, NJ 08028
(About five blocks from Rowan University, next to Angelo’s Diner)

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
