Right from issue #1, I've always loved the dialogue between Cage and Spider-Man. I probably would have been a fan of Cage in the 90s if they would have given him this kinda push back then!
I had too much sugar today...

POLL: Preview; New Avengers #53in Comics by GuigarMonday, June 08, 2009 - 12:13 PM New Avengers #53Creative team: Story by Brian Michael Bendis; art by Billy Tan & Matt Banning Villain to Watch: Madame Masque, Brother Voodoo Brian Michael Bendis seizes the award for Best Dialogue of the Month for the latest ish of New Avengers. In the opening pages, Spider-Woman admonishes Clint Barton to "land the damned Quinjet." Spider-Woman: I'm justing saying, I could have flown here faster with my web pits. Meanwhile, Spider-man has a Moment with Luke Cage: Spider-man: Hey, Luke, man. About that thing with me and your wife before? Spider-man: You know. About her being in love with me in high school? Spider-man: I swear. I did not know about this. I swear. Spider-man: I mean she's cute and all but... Spider-man: But don't you worry, man. I believe in the statues of marriage. Or the institution. Spider-man: Yeah. The institution. I'm all about it. Spider-man: So don't worry about me or anything like that. Cage, having simmered through a beautiful slow burn rendered by Tan and Banning, scowls more deeply at Web Head.Spider-man: But you and Iron Fist broke up, right? Because I'd like to take a shot at that action. Spider-man: Heh. Beyond the deft comic relief, this is another title that is heating up nicely in the post-Civil-War Marvel universe. Dr. Strange is preparing the world for a new Sorcerer Supreme since he, himself had resorted to Dark Arts in the preceding conflict. The Eye of Agamotto has let loose, Green-Lantern-ring style to find a new torch-bearer. And you'll never believe whom it found: None other than B-list POLL: Who should replace Dr. Strange?

All those guys are already magical. How magical was Stephen Strange when he became the Sorcerer Supreme? There are two guys in the Marvel universe who have tons of crazy stuff happen to them. Some of it seems scientific and some of it seems magical. Either of these two guys should be the replacement. One is Peter Parker and the other is Rick Jones. --

Who should be the new "Sorceror Supreme?" That's easy: Illyana Nikolievna Rasputina You read that right: Colossus' kid sister. After all, it appears that she's back in continuity. And she *is* (or at least *was*) the ruler of an entire realm. Just think about it. --
If you did it and lived, then you probably did it right. posted Monday, June 08, 2009 - 04:20 PM (#48134)
I agree with the previous poster, that said Rick Jones. He'd be good for a while, for a laugh, then let Strange take it back in time for the movie release. --
THE DOCTOR SAYS: Excuse me, but will you mind not farting whilst I'm trying to save the earth? posted Tuesday, June 09, 2009 - 03:03 AM (#48140)
Steven Earned the right to be Soceror Supreme by being the best soceror, the eye chose him over Mordo back in the day because of it (and because Mordo had used dark magic). So the next soceror should be who's ever currently the best. Since using dark magic elimates you (the reason why strange no longer hodls the possition) that eliminates Daimon Hellstom, Mordred, MEphisto, Mordo and Magik (illyana) and Doctor Doom from the running anyway. Clea doesnt generally live on this plain. I would've thought Jenifer Kale'd be in the running. But Brother Voodoo is a good choice. Especially since, contrary to your post, he never was a `B-list baddie' but has always been a good guy (although his origin story involves a little bit of badness between him and his brother, ocne he became `brother voodoo' he's always fought on the side of the angles so to speak. posted Tuesday, June 09, 2009 - 05:16 PM (#48142)
I voted for Brother Voodoo because not only is a hero in continuity, he did become Sorcer Supreme in a What If? based on the Age of Apocolypse. In the What If? both Xavier and Magneto had been killed by Legion. Of course they could always introduce someone new like Doc Magus from MC2's Spider-Girl.
