I watched the version from the Apple website, and I think it's too "pretty." I recently read Watchmen for the first time (I know, I know), and it had a really gritty look to it that seems to be missing from this preview. Everything was glossy and shiny, which just seems wrong. Also, Ozymandius looked foreboding and sinister, not heroic (which he should, in a preview!)

I haven't read the graphic, but i'm defintely psyched to see the movie. i'll have to see if i can find it before the film comes out. it looks great. i can't comment on how 'gritty' a character should look until i grab the novel.

Do read the graphic novel. It's one of the few, true seminal works in modern comics. It's an enjoyable read, and you'll need it in your brain if you ever want to talk comics with anybody. :)

Hey drewt, That's because Alan Moore specifically told the movie studios he did not want his name on any movie credits . I think it was a problem he had with Joel Silver.

Its not that he has a problem with Joel Silver specifically, he just doesn't want his name put on any movie adaptations from his comics.
