I'm Mister Heat Miser...
Be sure to tune in tonight to NBC's live-action version of one of my all-time favorite Rankin-Bass animated specials, The Year Without a Santa Claus (9 p.m. on the East Coast). I don't expect this to take the place of the old one in my heart, but the preview (above) looks pretty good. In case you're interested, that's Harvey Fierstein as Heat Miser and Michael (Lenny in "Laverne and Shirley") McKean as the Snow Miser.
