When Stu Bykofsky, storied columnist for the Philadelphia Daily News, approached me about doing cartoons for his book, "Cats Are Supermodels," I jumped at the chance. Stu is an institution here in Philly, and his book -- a humorous look at cats and the people who Like supermodels, cats are beautiful, sleek, self-centered, moody, aloof, usually sleepy, always hungry, but rarely willing to eat what’s put before them. Sometimes worshipped, sometimes reviled, cats combine grace, stealth, agility and cunning to emerge as America’s most popular pet.
“Cats Are Supermodels” serves up fact, fiction and satire about cats — and the women who become their willing servants.
Anyone who has ever loved a cat, lived with a cat, or knows someone who does, will appreciate this book’s cold truth and warm humor.
I contributed several cartoons to the book, depicting a fictional supermodel and her own tabby, strutting through life together. To get your copy, visit Stu's site
