The first convention appearance of the year is rolling around, and it's gonna be cool for several reasons.

I'm going to be a guest at Katsucon 14 is Feb. 15-17 in Washington D.C.

First off, it's my first anime convention. I'm really looking forward to seeing how well my strip fits into the crowd.

Secondly, it's the weekend that I'll be celebrating eight years of doing a daily comic strip!

Bill Barnes, artist and co-writer of Unshelved was kind enough to invite me to sign copies of Evil Inc books at his booth at the American Library Association midwinter conference. To say that Bill is a class act and a genuinely nice guy is an understatement.

We had a delicious lunch at the Reading Terminal Market and traded stories and webcomics gossip. Unfortunately, I had to head off to work, so I couldn;t hang around after the convention and help him celebrate his birthday, but really enjoyed the time I was able to spend.
