Comixpedia has named the Halfpixel crew -- Scott Kurtz, Dave Kellett, Kris Straub and me -- in their annual People of Webcomics List for 2007.

From their pouty lips:

All four of these creators came together to create a new "brand name" called Half Pixel. We wouldn't quite go so far as to call it a "super group" a la the Traveling Wilburys (although ELO fanatic Kris Straub would probably be besides himself if we did) but it certainly represents a stellar collection of established, veteran webcomic talent under one label.

Besides continuing to work on their various webcomic projects in 2007, collectively the four of them began a very informative podcast on webcomics and are in the midst of working on a book on webcomics, scheduled for publication in 2008.

I remember back in the day, when I was starting out with Greystone Inn, I participated in all of those "Top Webcomics"lists. If I put the voting buttons on my site, encouraging people to vote for me, I could easily reap the rewards of climbing the list: An influx of new readers; increased merchandise sales; desperate, nubile groupies e-mailing me indiscreet photographs of themselves...

Only to become bitterly disappointed when none of those things came to fruition.

So imagine my surprise when I find Evil Inc included in some sort of Webcomic ranking system. After all, I stopped participating in this kind of thing years ago.

And imagine my surprise to see Evil Inc in the top ten!
