Q: I’ve been seeing a girl I work with and everything has been great except one thing. She is constantly in contact with her ex. He calls her several times a day, and sends her countless text messages. She says that he took the break-up very bad and that she feels bad for him, so she continues this line of communication. She has also told me that she has not yet told him about me, because that would be “absolutely devastating to him.” When I get angry about her answering her phone when she is with me, or responding to text messages, she says that I am not being very understanding. Am I being irrational? This has been going on for three weeks, and they only dated for six months.
