Another delay for Marvel's Civil War

[Newsarama] Marvel Comics has confirmed that the on-sale date of Civil War #6 has been moved to January 3rd, two weeks later than the previously announced on-sale date of December 20th, given when Marvel originally informed retailers and readers issues #4-6 of the mega-selling limited series would not ship on their originally solicited dates, along with the necessary delays of Civil War related tie-in titles timed to the release of the main mini-series.

According to Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, series artist Steve McNiven "has come down with a very severe case of strep throat." Read more at Newsarama.

Wizard fires Editor-in-Chief

[CBR] Wizard Magazine's Editor-in-Chief has been fired, according to industry insiders.

Multiple sources told CBR News Wednesday that Senior Vice-President/Editor-in-Chief Pat McCallum of Wizard Entertainment Group has been let go from the company.

According to a 2002 Scoop interview with Wizard Publisher and Founder Gareb Shamus, McCallum was a founding member of the magazine along with Shamus.

Wizard Magazine's Vice-President/Associate Publisher Robert Felton declined to comment Wednesday evening and said a formal announcement would come from the company on Thursday.
