Charisma Carpenter

There's still hope

[SuperHeroHype.com] In a recent TV Guide interview with the gorgeous and talented Charisma Carpenter:

Carpenter: ...I do have an interesting audition coming up soon, so I'm hopeful.

TVGuide.com: Is it with Joss Whedon, and you're holding a golden lasso? [Carpenter's name often comes up in discussions about the Buffy creator's in-the-works Wonder Woman feature film.]

Civil Wars: Choosing Sides

Friday, September 08, 2006 - 12:07 AM

Civil Wars: Choosing Sides

[CBR]Civil War is encompassing the entire Marvel Universe and the effects of the war are being felt by every hero, villain, and civilian. Civil War: Choosing Sides One-Shot features five stories that shine a spotlight on the wildcards and impact players whose part in the Civil War has yet to be told, including Daredevil/Iron Fist, U.S. Agent, the Irredeemable Ant Man, Venom, and even…Howard the Duck!? Read more.

This looks like my kind of comic. I've been following Civil War and it's been pretty good. But I have to admit, I've been completely left cold by the side title that features the two reporters (I can't even remember the title). But Choosing Sides looks as if it could lend some much needed life to this comic event.

No surprise that one of my favorite writers, Ty Templeton, is involved in the project. Ty wrote what I consider to be the quintessential Plastic Man (post Cole) comic, 1999's JLA Presents Plastic Man. I wrote about it in February. I can't wait to see him write Howard the Duck.
